  • Dr. Brendan Hebert

    Dr. Brendan Hebert

Brendan was born and raised in Regina, SK. He completed elementary school at St. Angela Merici. He graduated from M.A. Riffel High School as class Valedictorian. He represented the province playing basketball on both Western Canada and Summer Games teams.

After high school, Brendan studied Chemistry at the University of Regina. He achieved Academic All-Canadian standing while playing Men’s basketball for four years with the Cougars. He holds the team’s Most Career Assists record.

Brendan studied optometry at the University of Waterloo and completed internships in Estevan at South East Eyecare (focusing primary care), Red Deer at The Eye Studio (focusing on primary care and vision therapy), Detroit at the John D. Dingell VA Hospital (focusing on ocular disease with emphasis on diabetes and glaucoma), and the University of Waterloo (working in many specialized clinics including paediatrics, ocular disease and binocular vision). He graduated from Optometry on the Dean’s List and received an award for excellence in pediatric care.

Brendan is happy to be back in Saskatchewan and has many people to thank for their support and contributions to his personal achievements – wife, family, friends, teammates, teachers, coaches and referees. When he’s not at the clinic, you can find him staying active with sports and fitness. He had the opportunity to coach high school basketball for many years, but is now spending his time outside the clinic with his wife, Harley and his daughter, Nora.

  • Kira Reiss

    Kira Reiss

Kira is originally from the village of Saskatchewan Beach. She moved to Regina and graduated from Sheldon-Williams Collegiate in 2011. Kira spent some time after high school traveling and doing odd jobs, and even lived in Australia for a year, before starting in the optical field in 2016.

She enrolled in the Optical Sciences program through NAIT that year, earning a diploma with honours and becoming a Licensed Optician in the summer of 2018. Since graduating, she has continued enhancing her education by attending seminars and workshops, on topics including low vision training and assessment, effects of UV and preventative measures, and more.

In her down time, Kira is usually at home with her partner, cat, and two dogs, playing video games or baking.

Kira is ecstatic to be part of the ȯkȯ team, and to work for a homegrown business where patient care is the highest priority.

  • Sarah Eckert

Hi, I'm Sarah Jean! I’ve been a licensed optician since 2023, and my favourite part of the job is connecting with all kinds of people, helping them find the perfect pair of glasses that fit both their style and budget in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about photography, love tending to my plants, and enjoy traveling, thrifting, and doing DIY projects. I’m also a big fan of tattoos and beach days with friends and family. My dog, Leo, is a sweet 80lb husky mix who keeps me on my toes, and together we love spending time outdoors.

Life is all about balance, and I cherish the moments that combine creativity, nature, and good company

  • Chantel Feszczyn

With over 15 years of experience in the optical industry, Chantel brings both expertise and enthusiasm to every frame-fitting moment at ȯkȯ eyecare. As a passionate optical assistant, she thrives on helping people find glasses and sunglasses that make them feel confident, stylish, and truly seen.

Outside the optical world, Chantel is a proud mama of four, an artist at heart, and a full-on creative powerhouse. She studied advanced makeup artistry with a specialization in stage and special effects, which adds another layer to her vibrant creative background! Whether she’s tending to her garden, whipping up handmade jewelry, getting lost in her journalling and scrapbooking, or diving into a good horror movie, she’s always embracing what lights her up! She’s also a big fan of video games, comic books, anime, and all things quirky and colourful!

Chantel lives with her sweet pup Ruby and her special needs cat Zelda (who’s deaf and partially blind, but full of sass!). As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she’s committed to making everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome, supported, and celebrated.

Friendly, bubbly, and full of heart, Chantel is here to help you find your perfect pair with a smile (and probably a fun fact about a horror movie or anime, if you’re into that too)!
